Being, Towards the Sheer Senses
Brief Description
“Being, Towards the Sheer Senses” is the latest production of the Human Voice Ensemble.
This immersive vocal experience can be understood as a gateway to sensation — a web of communication through sound that creates multiple simultaneous connections. The project stems from two years of practical research into the foundations of voice and prehistorical/cultural communication. In this unique aural journey, the performers rely entirely on their senses and emotions to create layered sonic interactions. The audience sits at the center of a sound dome, immersed in physical vibrations that bypass traditional listening and engage their perception directly.
What makes “Being” special?
– An aural experience that invites audiences into a world of inspiration and discovery
– A multisensory event that redefines the traditional concert experience
– Based on two years of empirical research on the human voice and its communicative essence
– A related workshop, Viva-Voce, is available to accompany the performance

Reviews
“…The virtuosity of the vocal group Human Voice Ensemble from Tehran stands out above all.”
— Stefano Mattia Pribetti, Journalist
(Quote from Laibach’s multifaceted work thrills Rossetti)
“But most impressive is the Iranian choir, consisting of three women and one man: the Human-Voice Ensemble from Tehran. They sing over each other, partly improvised and also partly based on Persian poetry by Omar Khayyam and Mahsati Ganjavi.”
— Xavier Kruth, Journalist
(Quote from Mourons pour des ideas, d’accord, mais de mort spring)
Past Gigs
HVE has previously collaborated with Laibach Band in the acclaimed “Alamut” production, presented at Ljubljana Festival (Slovenia), Il Rossetti – Trieste (Italy), Zagreb (Croatia), and the Frankfurt Book Fair (Germany)
Human Voice Ensemble
The human-Voice ensemble was established in 2020 to research the sources of the human voice and the possibilities of making multi-layered and sensory communication through voices. HVE training, rehearsal, and performance process is treated as a laboratory, enabling the ensemble to research and develop each new training approach, which always seeks to integrate movements, voice, and songs, creating a performance that has an inherent musicality and connects with the audience on a sensory level. All members of the group have various experiences and educations in the field of music and theater. For the past 15 years, they have been focusing on developing their musical and physical skills as performers through their group activities.
